WHAT'S NEW...
- FAA HAS A NEW WEBSITE
Fitchburg Public Schools has invested in a new website
for all the public schools in Fitchburg located at
[ www.fitchburgschools.org
]. All the schools will have the same look and feel.
You can find your school by clicking on the "Our
Schools" tab. FAA's new site is located at [
faa.fitchburgschools.org
]. Since the new site is still under construction
we will continue to run this site. As we get things
moved over to the new site, we will be removing them
from here. We apologize for any inconvenience and
ask that you bear with us during this transition.
If you have any questions, please call the school
at (978) 665-3662.

Tickets cost $5 and they will accept money at the

carving contest. If people wish to participate in
the pumpkin carving contest they should carve a pumpkin
at home and bring it to the dance. We will have the
battery operated candles to place in them. Only FAA
students are allowed to attend this dance and all
students should have a ride home promptly at 8 pm.
- FAA PTO GO GREEN FUNDRAISER

off of North Street at the entrance to the building.
There will be staff member present to greet you.
Students should arrive no earlier than 8:00 am

not be allowed in the building.
- Parent Pick Up - Students will be dismissed
at 2:15 PM at Entrance A in the front of the building
off of Rindge Road. Parents should enter the parking

- MCAS PARENT REPORT ONLINE TUTORIAL
MCAS Parent Reports will now include growth model
data. We recognize that this is a new, and somewhat
confusing system, that may leave many parents with
questions. To help address that need the Massachusetts
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
has developed an online tutorial geared specifically
for parents. The tutorial is in powerpoint format
with audio, but requires no special software to use.
The tutorial is posted at
[ www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/growth/tutorial2.html
]. Parents can also obtain more information about
MCAS at [
www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/ ].
